Motivate. Inspire. Connect: Extending a Helping Hand to 50+ Entrepreneurs



The Juanita C. Grant Foundation (JCGF) in conjunction with the Experience Lab at H St. Greenhouse, is presenting a series of open mic-style events, designed to provide current and aspiring entrepreneurs with the motivation, inspiration, and support needed to succeed in their chosen craft. On July 18th, August 1st and August 15th, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from established business owners and share their own unique insights and tips. Each Open MIC will take place at the H Street Greenhouse, which is located at 1341 H St. NE, Washington, D.C. 20002. Doors will open at 5:30PM, and presentations will begin at 6:00PM. Tickets can be purchased online at openmicseries2019.eventbrite.com at the rate of $25 per event, or

$65 for all three dates. Tickets purchased at the door will cost $3 more.



Contrary to the popular portrayals of entrepreneurship as an industry solely comprised of people in their teens or twenties, people over 50 are noted for starting successful businesses. Each event in the 50+ Entrepreneur Open MIC Series will feature presenters who will share their journey through free enterprise, sharing valuable insight and helping audience members map out a plan to pursue their vision. Attendees can look forward to tips and on-the-spot critique from:

• Mike Bare - CEO of BARE International, a mystery customer research service
• Angela Robinson - Principal Attorney at A.S. Robinson Law, where legal issues are tackled with an “entrepreneurial spirit”
• Kate Tallent - Principal/Creative Director/Designer at KTD Creative
• Lilia Abron - CEO/Founder of PEER Consultants, and the first African American woman to earn a PhD in chemical engineering.
