STRATEGIC PLAN

2024-2026 STRATEGIC GOALS


The Board of Directors Retreat engaged an expert strategic planning facilitator to guide the Board through discussions on the regional growth of JCGF. The Board concentrated on major steps that would create synergy between outreach strategies, education and training programs and advocacy efforts. 


Goal 1. Meeting and/or exceeding projected CY Budgets 

Objective 1.1 Standardizing balanced funding strategies

Strategies:


1.1.1         Developing realistic projection of 15 grant opportunities based on grant writing capacity

1.1.2         Appointing grant development support group May 2023

1.1.3         Building strategic relationships with grantors and potential grant partner Latinx, LGBTQ+ organizations

1.1.4         Balancing funding needs for capacity building versus program grants to support operations, staffing

1.1.5         Funding development manager position in 2024 budget

1.1.6         Evaluating fiduciary health of organization semiannually


Goal 2. Instituting Governance Model in CY 2024

Objective 2.1 Establishing governance BOD

Strategies:


2.1.1      Developing and implementing annual board call procedure

2.1.2      Recruiting 2-4 members per year targeting inclusions of Latinx, LGBTQ+; needed skill sets, local/state/national leaders

2.1.3      Developing governance level board PD, role and responsibilities

2.1.4      Developing Ambassador volunteer pool to support events, committees, operations, research, writing



Goal 3. Enhancing implementation of the “inclusions initiative”

Objective 3.1 Implementing comprehensive inclusion initiative

Strategies:


3.1.1     Ensuring all programs and supporting collateral incorporate inclusive concerns of communities of color and marginalized communities older adults

3.1.2     Posting and distributing educational and program materials in Spanish, advancing SAGECare credentials

Goal 4. Implementing advocacy program supported by consultative services

Objective 4.1 Establishing program advocacy goals 

Strategies:


4.1.1     Developing intersectional framework for advocacy program

4.1.2     Establishing one advocacy goal for program areas


Objective 4.2 Establishing consultative/education services

Strategies:


4.2.1     Developing range of consultative, presentation topics and education services

4.2.2     Creating marketing approach to launch and maintain consultative, presentation topics and education services
