JCGF President and CEO Graduates From Georgetown University Program

Capitol Heights, MD, July 5, 2022: On the 22nd of June, 2022 Juanita C. Grant Foundation President and CEO, one of the latest graduates of Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy celebrated the completion of an executive certificate in Nonprofit Management along with the rest of her class.

Through the Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate Program, individuals working in or with nonprofits are able to refine their leadership and management skills. In addition, the program provides participants with the skills to deal effectively with the challenges and opportunities their organizations and communities face today. The curriculum addressed diverse topics including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Strategic Planning, and Advocacy in the Public Interest.

S. Orlene Grant spoke enthusiastically of her time in the program and for the support she received during its duration saying, “I am grateful to the JCGF Board members for supporting me in my continuing education efforts. The Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy Executive Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management provided a forward-thinking approach to reconceptualizing how nonprofits may be managed and thrive in these challenging times.“

Moreover, she noted that this new knowledge and skill set would affect the organization's work positively continuing, “Knowledge gained from the outstanding faculty and the international group of nonprofit leader fellow students was a rich source of lived experience that will be helpful in moving JCGF towards its goal of delivering solutions to improve the lives of older adults.”
