Capitol Heights, MD, January 5, 2022: Today, the Juanita C. Grant Foundation announces its receipt of two new grants from Crescent City Charities, a non-profit organization established in Prince George’s County, with the aim of providing a variety of community services to organizations and individuals alike. In keeping with the goals that heralded its inception in 1983, the Crescent Cities Jaycees Foundation is currently dedicated to providing financial assistance to students, charities and community organizations in need, in continuance of a long tradition of tangible contributions towards the betterment of older adults.

“We are very pleased and grateful to receive the support of Cresent Cities Charities,” said S. Orlene Grant, President and CEO of JCGF. “The Juanita C. Grant Foundation was purposely head-quartered in Prince George’s County to improve the quality of life for older adult residents by improving the social connectedness of older adults to eliminate social isolation, create job opportunities to achieve economic security, and eliminate elder abuse and financial fraud through preventive educational seminars with law enforcement experts. Our efforts are achieved through partnerships at the local and national level. The continued support of Cresent Cities Charities will enhance service delivery and programming in 2022.”

Hazardous conditions, ageism, and a lack of support are some of the key areas where age advocacy is is essential. With the support of mission-driven partners like Crescent City Charities, the Juanita C. Grant Foundation hopes to continue to bridge the gap between older adults and the resources they need to enjoy a better quality of life.
