Dec 15, 2021

The endowment will go towards the foundation’s  many programs for older adults

Capitol Heights, MD, December 15, 2021: The Juanita C. Grant Foundation’s workforce development, social connectedness, and financial fraud training programs have received funding from NextFifty Initiative, a Colorado-based foundation that supports efforts to improve the lives of older adults and

their caregivers. This funding will allow the Juanita C. Grant Foundation (JCGF) to advance its efforts to support older adults nationally while maintaining services locally.

“Older adults are a vital and valuable part of our community, so we are excited to empower even more older adults,” said S. Orlene Grant, President and CEO of JCGF. “Funding from NextFifty Initiative will enable us to hire more Village Connector Experience ambassadors to facilitate more social connectedness for older adults, continue targeted workforce development trainings and support our elder abuse and financial fraud training series.”

“Our goal is to transform the way our society views and experiences aging, and that influences the types of programs and projects we fund,” said Diana McFail, President and CEO of NextFifty Initiative. “The Juanita C. Grant Foundation’s work with older adults aligns with our efforts to improve and sustain quality of life for people in their second 50 years. We offer our support and congratulations.”

The way we age is changing rapidly, with the older adult population projected to double in number by 2050, and the world must adjust to accommodate the demand for resources. The Juanita C. Grant Foundation remains committed to championing the cause of an empowered future for the post-fifty community.
